Soon Y. is given a mission of the utmost importance: to compose a new national anthem. In this blistering new film, presented at Cannes this year, Nadav Lapid (Ahed’s Knee, Synonyms) delivers an absurdist tale of a couple tested by political principles—or the absence of them—in the aftermath of October 7.
