From Wed 27 Aug to Wed 10 SepHaving established their gold standard for social realist cinema with Rosetta – which won the Palme d’Or in 1999 – the Dardenne brothers return with Young Mothers, which was awarded Best Screenplay at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïma are housed in a shelter for young mothers. The five teenagers, who have all faced different obstacles, strive for a better life for themselves and their children.
