Explore the notion of concrete, and the numerous forms it can take with Architecture studio Cookies, in partnership with Imperial College London and Institut français.
Far from being only an industrial and highly polluting material, concrete can be made from natural components, both for its aggregates (sand, rocks) and its binder (clay). Using materials found in the vicinity of Exhibition Road we want to create a local concrete, using nontoxic binders like clay, starch, paper pulp etc. that participants can mix, modify, manipulate and cast together.
The workshops is open to a wide audience, from children to adults.
This workshop is part of the Great Exhibition Road Festival
