Festival Beckett Unbound: La Dernière Bande (Krapp’s Last Tape)

30 May - 1 June
Performances

Don’t miss Krapp’s Last Tape a production combining France and the UK. Exposing the darkness of recorded life, Beckett lays bare the emotion imprinted on the magnetic layers of tape, a medium which, for us, has been transposed into the realm of the hyper-digital. Jacques Osinski’s direction and Denis Lavant’s performance were described as “breathtaking” when they premiered at the Festival d’Avignon in 2019.

As part of Beckett: Unbound 2024,  a programme of theatre, music, film, dance, photography, and discussions exploring Samuel Beckett’s wild fascination with communication and technology’s traversal of time and distance.

Powered by the University of Liverpool and the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs, in association with Unreal Cities.
