About our guests

Lucie Arnoux is an illustrator and comic-book artist from the South of France. She moved to London ten years ago and loved it so much she never left. A compulsive sketcher, Lucie has tried her hands at all sorts of painterly things. She designs theatre backdrops and prop painting for film and TV, does live sketching as artist-in-residence for events and festivals, works on her autobiographical graphic novels and the Enola Holmes comics series, and illustrates children’s books. She hopes her mad creative juggling never stops!

Nicolas Wild is a former student of the famous illustration studio at the School of Applied Arts and Design in Strasbourg. In 2005, Nicolas accepted a job offer in Afghanistan where he was given the task of drawing an adaptation of the Afghan constitution.
In 2007, he launched Kaboul Disco, a comic book series in which he talks about his life as an expat.
The discovery of the Persian world then led him to Iran and in 2014 he completed Ainsi se tut Zarathoustra, an eye-opening journey through current events in Iran.
