Performances

The Institut français is proud to support Léa des Garets’ play George, presented at the Omnibus Theatre from 25 June to 14 July. This piece tells the story of the famous French writer George Sand, who stood up against established rules and gender norms.

Set in Marseille in 1839, when George Sand finds herself blocked and penniless, the play explores how her quill ends up in the most dangerous place she has ever explored: herself. But what will she have to sacrifice to be seen? Find out at the world premiere of George, headlining Omnibus Theatre’s Pride Month Festival.
