Gwen John: Strange Beauties

On the occasion of the exhibition Gwen John: Strange Beauties at the National Museum Cardiff from 7 February to 28 June 2026, curator Lucy Wood and art critic Chloë Ahsby will shine a light on one of Wales’ most extraordinary artists, who worked in France for most of her career. The exhibition brings together rarely seen works from around the world to celebrate the 150th anniversary of her birth.
