Jean-Baptiste Andrea
Jean-Baptiste Andrea is a writer, screenwriter and director. In 2023, Watching Over Her was published to great critical and commercial success, having been awarded the Prix Goncourt, the most prestigious French literary award, and selling over 700,000 copies. His debut novel, Ma Reine (2017), won twelve literary prizes in France, including the Prix du Premier Roman and the Prix Femina des Lycéens. He is also the author of A Hundred Million Years and a Day (2019) and Devils and Saints (2021).
Frank Wynne
Frank Wynne is an Irish translator and writer. He began translating literary texts at the end of the 1990s, and in 2001 decided to devote himself entirely to literary translation. His work has earned him numerous awards, including the Premio Valle Inclán and the Dublin Literary Award. He is now a three-time winner of the Scott Moncrieff Prize, having previously won in 2008 for the translations of Frédéric Beigbeder’s Holiday in a Coma and Love Lasts Three Years and in 2015 for Boualem Sansal’s Harraga.
He was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize 2018 for his translation of Vernon Subutex I by Virginie Despentes, and won the 2024 French American Prize for the translation of The Annual Banquet of the Gravediggers Guild by Mathias Énard.
