As part of the “Tuesdays of European History” lecture series organised by l’Association des Historiens, the French Institute in London welcomes the eighth and final lecture of the 2025/2026 season, devoted to ancient Greece and its legacy.

François Barratte, Professor Emeritus at Sorbonne Université, will explore the relationship between Roman art and its Greek roots. To what extent did Rome inherit, transform or reinvent the artistic forms of the Greek world?

This lecture is in French and open to all.
