On the occasion of the first ever exhibition dedicated to the seascapes of Georges Seurat, held at the Courtauld Gallery from 13 February to 17 May, curator Karen Serres will shed light on the evolution of his radical and distinctive style through the motif of the sea. The exhibition brings together 27 paintings, oil sketches and drawings made by Seurat during the summers he spent on the northern coast of France.
