On 22 May, took place War, Democracy and Resistance: the Stake for Ukraine Today, a panel discussion on Ukraine’s pivotal role in Europe’s geopolitical landscape, featuring Alexandra Goujon, a French political scientist and Olga Tokariuk, an independent journalist and researcher, and Melanie Garson, Associate Professor in International Security (UCL). It was followed by a special screening of Oksana Karpovych’s conceptual documentary Intercepted exposing the dehumanising power of war.
On 13 June, Oleksandra Matviichuk, head of the non-profit Centre for Civil Liberties, which was awarded the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, shared her testimony to Patrick Wintour, diplomatic editor at The Guardian.
