Don’t miss War, Democracy and Resistance: the Stake for Ukraine Today on 22 May, a panel discussion on Ukraine’s pivotal role in Europe’s geopolitical landscape, featuring Alexandra Goujon, a French political scientist and Olga Tokariuk, an independent journalist and researcher, and Melanie Garson, Associate Professor in International Security (UCL).

It will be followed by a special screening of Oksana Karpovych’s conceptual documentary Intercepted exposing the dehumanising power of war.

The season will continue on 13 June with a talk featuring Oleksandra Matviichuk, head of the non-profit Centre for Civil Liberties, which was awarded the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, and on 16 September with a discussion between Ukrainian author Andrey Kurkov and French writer Olivier Norek.
