After the success of the Franco-British producers’ meetings in Paris last April, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, the BFI, and the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée), in cooperation with UniFrance, organised the second edition of New Waves – Franco-British Co-production Meetings on 7 October.

12 selected French producers met with their British counterparts and participated in London Film Festival Industry events over the weekend. French filmmaker and novelist Catherine Breillat honoured us with her presence during the networking evening.

Funded by the Institut français, the co-production meetings are part of the bilateral cultural cooperation agenda defined at the Franco-British Summit earlier this year, and have been delivered under the label Lumière!, which encompasses all artistic, cultural, academic, and scientific cooperation programmes of the French Embassy to the UK.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners and their teams – Agnieszka Moody and Holly Daniel (BFI), Jérémie Kessler and Julien Ezanno (CNC), Daniela Elstner and Yoann Ubermulhin (Unifrance).
