The Bayeux Tapestry has always stood at the crossroads of identity, universal heritage, history and fiction, inspiring many political narratives, as well as visual arts, of course.
Open to artists and collectives based in France, Great Britain or the Channel Islands, this project invites reinterpretations of the Tapestry’s historical and symbolic dimensions.
Prints must measure 70×100 cm (landscape) and must entail four passes of colour maximum when printed.
The selected artists will receive a 1,550 € fee, with production costs and travel to Paris covered (~150 €).
Eligibility
This call for applications is open to any artist (or collective of artists) working in the fields of visual arts who can demonstrate a professional track record – i.e. exhibitions or publications organised by venues or professional publishers.

Applications to be sent exclusively to commandeestampes@le-radar.fr.
Results will be announced on 12 June; for the successful applicants, works are to be completed by 1 November 2026, ahead of cross-Channel exhibitions planned for 2027.
