To mark the start of the exhibition When Marianne and Britannia Meet, commemorating the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale, we have interviewed Juliette Desplat, the Head of International and External Affairs at the UK’s National Archives. She talks about the significance of the documents on display in the history of Franco-British relationships, their impact on the current bond between both countries and more generally the role archives play in diplomacy.
