Meet author Lola Lafon in the UK on the occasion of the publication of When You Listen to This Song, translated by Lauren Elkin and published by Yale University Press London.

Written after a night spent alone in the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, When You Listen to This Song reflects on memory, writing, and the ways in which Anne Frank’s diary continues to resonate today. Moving between personal reflection and historical inquiry, Lola Lafon examines how stories are preserved, transmitted, and sometimes distorted, while questioning the role literature plays in keeping memory alive.
