French-Moroccan multi-disciplinary artist Yto Barrada, who will represent France at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, and Myriam Ben Salah, curator of the French Pavilion, took part in a conversation at the French Institute on 16 October 2025.

Part of a world tour (along with New Delhi, Chicago and Paris) presenting the French Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, organised by the Institut français, this event also marked the 15th anniversary of the Fluxus Art Projects art fund during Frieze London.

On this occasion, Yto Barrada and Myriam Ben Salah were welcomed on stage by Anissia Morel, director of the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, and Marie-Cécile Burnichon, Deputy Director of the department for artistic creation and cultural industries at the Institut français headquarters in Paris (both pictured). 

Yto Barrada presented her film A Day is Not a Day at Ciné Lumière, and discussed her creative process and some ideas for the French Pavilion at the Venice Biennale with curator Myriam Ben Salah.
