María Casares, a Spanish-born French actress and one of the most distinguished stars of the French stage and cinema, who appeared in such classics as Marcel Carné’s Children of Paradise or Jean Cocteau’s Orpheus and Testament of Orpheus, had a tumultuous affair with Nobel Prize in Literature and celebrated author Albert Camus.
