Immerse your pupils in French culture for a full day with linguistic or cultural activity in the morning and a school screening in the afternoon.

Come dressed up as your favourite character !

 

10:30am: choose between the 2 following activities:

  • Library Activity (8-10 years old) :
    Listen to scary stories and dig into the world of Bandes Dessinees to scare you just a little !
  • Language Activity (5-7 years old) :
    So many great French comic books have been adapted for the big screen and Petit Vampire is one of them. Come and practice your French and learn scary words !
  • Art Activity (7-10 years old) :
    Just like Michel, one of the heroes of the film Little Vampire, imagine and set out to meet an incredible world, populated by bizarre monsters and vampires. During this workshop, children will be invited to imagine and create paper silhouettes representing weird creatures and enchanting landscapes. At the end of the workshop, they will be invited to project the shadow of their creations on the wall. The silhouettes can be restaged in a shadow theatre created at their school. (Please note the Art Activity will be at £5 so the whole day will be £8)

12:45pm: Screening – Petit Vampire

Little Vampire has been 10 years old for the last 300 years. Despite living in a haunted house with a merry group of monsters, he is bored to death… His dream? Going to school to meet other kids. Unfortunately, his parents won’t let him leave the mansion, as for them, the outside world is way too dangerous. Accompanied by Fantomate, his faithful bulldog, Little Vampire escapes from the manor in secret, determined to meet other children. Adapted by celebrated illustrator Joann Sfar from his own eponymous comic book.
