From 16 to 19 November 2023, this year’s edition will welcome writers and illustrators as well as musicians for a celebration of children’s literature in all its glory. The line-up includes Magali le Huche, Axel Scheffler, Yuval Zommer, Robert Sae-Heng, Joséphine Seblon, Marion Puech, and more.
With a strong outreach programme, the South Ken Kids Festival encourages each participant to be creative and explore the art of drawing and illustration. Guests take part in a great range of educational activities organised with schools from the Greater London – and in public events held at the Institut français, from workshops, talks, live drawing and storytelling, to films, concerts and book signings.
This years highlights include live drawing performances such as the illustrated concert Fantastic Birds with the Trio Arcadis and illustrator Grégoire Pont, an interactive event, Drawing Sentences!, and Impro!, gathering all guest illustrators on stage for a fun drawing jam.
