Snow and the Bear

Premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, this atmospheric debut feature leads us into the microcosm of a remote small Turkish town increasingly cut off from the world by an endlessly harsh winter. A recently appointed young nurse called Asli, arrives amidst rumours of bears awakening early from their winter sleep. A man goes missing and Asli finds herself drawn into a story of complex relationships between the villagers, their secrets and suspicions.
