French Film Festival London 2026
The French Film Festival London returns to Ciné Lumière! A fortnight of cinema with over 40 films and almost 100 screenings.
The festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the breadth of voices and points of view in French cinema, the many ways of reflecting on and engaging with the world and our histories, whether by emerging or established directors, through fiction or documentaries, live-action or animation, comedies, dramas or genre films.
The programme includes films shot in France and around the world which have all been made with French support and the understanding that a broad, open-minded production is the way to keep the industry strong and continually engage the audience.
Many UK premieres will be unique opportunities to see and discuss films still seeking distribution, alongside multi-awarded films such as Minotaur, the Oscar contender for France in 2027. A new partnership with the Cinéma du réel festival will accompany an already strong selection of documentaries and artist films screened during the festival.
And finally, a particularly strong section of restored films will bring the likes of Sophie Marceau, Sandrine Kiberlain and Laetitia Masson to Ciné Lumière to discuss their beginnings, as well as their screen career since.
Discover all on the big screen at Ciné Lumière, the home of French cinema in London.
