2/ For teens

We offer group exam preparation courses or private tuition.

Please find our rates and timetable below.

If you wish to enrol your child to a group class, please take the 5 following steps:

  1. As the guardian of the child, you must first create your account on the link below: https://iflondres.extranet-aec.com/extranet/
  2. Choose the appropriate course in the category Specialised French > Young Learners
  3. Click on the + sign (next to register) and select: Register another family member
  4. Fill in the details for the child (add a member)
  5. Complete the registration and make payment.

You will receive the confirmation by email for your child’s course.

Maximise your exam results with extra French practice.

For students taking French for GCSE or A-Level this school year and who want extra practice to ensure outstanding exam results.

Tutor: The teacher is specialised in OCR, EDEXCEL and AQA, and is experienced in IGCSE (for GCSE), for both EDEXCEL and Cambridge boards.

Aims: Improve your French results by working on exam techniques with individual assistance if needed.

Teaching approach: Students will:

  • Speak exclusively in French in class
  • Study with French documents: press articles, audio clips
  • Answer questions on audio and video documents
  • Master grammar through comprehensive exercises
  • Practice writing and speaking to include their new grammatical knowledge
  • Read French articles on topics; present them orally
  • Give oral presentations followed by question and answer sessions
  • Work on exam techniques

Course materials: Past papers from all boards, French press e.g. Le Figaro and Le Monde, French radio and TV e.g. RFI, TV5, French grammar and exercise books, resources from the Institut français cultural centre.

Student’s involvement: Students will give oral presentations, engage in debates and work on their grammar at each session. They will be given written homework and will benefit from access to material from the Médiathèque to prepare the oral and research subject of their choice.

Join us for a fun-filled week of French learning!

FRENCH & FUN

The Institut français is taking its successful teaching practices to a fast-track, week-long immersion French summer camp. Fusing together French courses with exciting cultural activities, our Summer French Camp will be an unforgettable French immersion journey!
The summer camp is open to all students aged 8 to 18 years, from beginners to intermediate level.

OUR APPROACH TO LEARNING FRENCH

Under the guidance of our native-speaking teachers, our students are encouraged to actively take part in hands-on activities to boost their French speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills at all levels with a particular emphasis on oral communication. We design each lesson according to the ages, abilities and interests of our students.
In this supportive, supervised environment, our students gain confidence and silks in French while making new friends!

OUR SUMMER PROGRAMME

Designed for a fun and educational time exploring French culture, our materials are especially chosen to offer teenagers stimulating and interactive lessons and activities.
Classes are taught in small groups by our dynamic and highly-qualified teachers, who know exactly how to make learning entertaining and lively!

Monday to Friday
9.30am – 12.30pm French lessons Games, roleplays and task-based activities to revise or learn vocabulary and grammar in a fun way!
12.30pm – 1.30pm Lunch break – Children bring their packed lunch, a few snacks and enough water for the day
From 1.30pm Cultural activities Films at Ciné Lumière, science and creative art workshops, board games…
